I just dont know how to start this post. I probably start with a question I have on mind. Are we suppose to act differently according to the surrounding upon us? I am asking this question because throughtout most of the sence from the book, "The Stranger" Meursault has issue dealing with his problems according to the surrounding. And it is sort of relating to my typical life. It seem like the surrounding always interfere our lives trying to cause drama or tradegy.
From the beginning to the end, there's time when Meursault can deal with his conditions when he has sex in his mind but when it comes to dealing with aspects in his life, he doesnt realize what is going on. He appreciate the surroundning but he always in the wrong time dealing with his problems. At the beginning when his mother has to be buried, he didnt really show any love because it was "hot" The surrounding makes his tired and not to show any respect, which makes him feel dead and not visulizing anything that is happening.
Toward the end, when he was the beach, just relaxing and enjoying the cool blue water; there were a problem that Meursault never want to be on. He shot one of the Arab but he didnt care, he only wants to get out of the sun. There's time when he never though about the regret he takes but care about stupid reasons.
At the end, where he was in court, to protest himself as being innocent, he didnt acutlly give a damn if he gets excuted. The court was hot and he just want to get out of the place and go back to his cell and sleep. Mostvof the time, when you are on court, you are trying to fight for your rights and to prove to "them" you are innocent. But according to Meursault, he dont give a damn, what is happening to his life.
Judging my own life, I believe that different surroudning influence my life to change. According to my health, I am not able to stand or walk around the sun or else I will faint. During winter, I mostly play basketball outdoor and i will be sweating. On summer time, it is totally different, when i play basketball, I dont sweat as much as on the winter. So i think we act differently throughout your sorrounding.
